The Gul Response FX Wetsuit Test

We recently dropped in on Gul team riders Emily Currie and Patrick Langdon-Dark, to get their responses to the Response FX wetsuit range. And their reply? Well, very responsive… These wetsuits are a step up from the long-loved Response range, creating a fresh line of comp-level suits that properly hold their own.

With Emily being an established logger with some seriously fleet feet, and Patrick opting for a more aggressive shortboard style, you know that this suit has been thoroughly tested by the best. Let’s get into it.

Emily Currie | Reviews the Gul Women’s Response FX Wetsuit

“This suit features Gul’s X-Flex Tape, which is a nylon laminate that is super stretchy and flexible - allowing for good maneuverability in the water. It also makes it really easy to get on and off.” - Emily Currie

Patrick Langdon-Dark | Reviews the Gul Men’s Response FX Wetsuit

“It’s a chest zip glued and blind stitched, with an inner waterproof taping along the seams and a high stress point - keeping you nice and dry. This particular suit is a 3-2, ideal for the current conditions. However, it comes in a 5mm thickness for the colder months.” - Patrick Langdon-Dark
